Solution Architect / Technology Lead

The Solution Architect / Technology Lead drives the translation and construction of a client's business problems into innovative technology solutions by creating and owning the technical vision of the project and ensuring that the vision is achieved with a high level of quality. He is also responsible for mentoring and coaching people and providing technology- related thought leadership, including supporting sales activities.

Do you have the following?

• 9 - 12 years of overall experience in the software industry with at least 3-5 years of experience as a technology lead or solutions architect
• Strong front end experience
• Design, develop, build and maintain complete financial applications using Java and associated technologies.
• Lead or support design, estimation and planning tasks for the solution using technical and functional expertise.
• Manage projects, people, and scope and be responsible for quality for your development track/team distributed globally throughout the project life-cycle.
• Work with project leadership and clients to establish, enforce and monitor steps of complettion for various types of activities that are done during Development and Maintenance phases of a project for quality of delivery.
• Work with leadership and/or architects and clients to establish and enforce technology standards, best practices and approaches to be leveraged by the team.
• Ensure different dependencies are tracked and resolved on time.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues on projects.
• Drive setup of the different environments (development, testing, staging, production etc).
• Experience with developing high performance & high scalability enterprise applications using one or more leading cloud platforms across SaaS and PaaS including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
• Strong experience in writing high quality code with full automated unit test coverage (Junit, Mockito etc)
• Experience in Microservices, 12-factor methodology and automated integration testing
• Experience in API management, Swagger
• Experience in applying design standards, patterns, quality matrix depending on the solutions
• Working experience with various CI/CD tools and/or traditional build systems (Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.)
• Working experience with data platforms (relational and/or NoSQL) and messaging technologies
• Strong OOPs, data structure, algorithm knowledge 
• Working experience with common UNIX commands and scripts
• Ability & willingness to learn technologies at pace
• Strong verbal & written communication 
• Client facing and based across various client sites
• Gel well with distributed teams
• Evidence of coaching and guiding more junior team members

Education and training

• Science, mathematics or technology-related bachelor’s degree, or comparable combination of formal training and work experience.

Nice to Have

• Working experience in creating high performing applications including profiling and tuning (of those applications to boost performance)
• Knowledge of one or more security or integration framework
• Experience in DevOps
• Experience in TDD/BDD
• Experience in Scrum/Agile
• Willingness to travel
