Sourcing Coordinator at Mr Price Group

Job Summary:

Mr Price Home has an exciting opportunity to join the sourcing team where you will work collaboratively with the merchandise teams to provide resource solutions based on specific briefs. In this supplier facing role, through partnership with the Supply Chain team, you will:

• be responsible for the procurement process including briefing suppliers, managing negotiations and ensuring products are delivered on time
• provide regular status reports to the merchandise teams on the production and logistics process
• continuously research homeware suppliers to provide world class resource solutions to support the merchandise teams
• Keep up to date with the latest trends within the homeware industry
• Research and implement sustainable sourcing solutions

 The minimum requirements for this Career opportunity are:

• A relevant qualification preferably within design, business or production management
• 3 years’ sourcing experience within a manufacturing or supplier environment, having travelled internationally to factories and trade fairs – advantageous
• Knowledge of exports and imports preferred fibres and materials would be advantageous
• Homeware product knowledge
• Experience in engaging with suppliers
• Experience in negotiation and costing
• Able to pull reports, analyse data and make recommendations
• Ownership and accountability
