This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at Kirkmans Kamp, located in Skukuza. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, preparing and producing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service. Additional responsibilities include menu planning, inventory management, and ensuring guest satisfaction through culinary excellence.
Qualifications
Culinary skills, including food preparation and cooking techniques
Kitchen management skills, such as inventory management and staff supervision
Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in a kitchen environment
Menu planning and creativity in meal preparation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for delivering high-quality guest experiences
Formal culinary training or qualification is a plus
Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hospitality environment is advantageous
