Spa Therapist at African Echoes Recruitment

• A luxury safari lodge in Limpopo is seeking an experienced and professional Spa Therapist to join their team.
• The successful candidate will provide exceptional and personalised spa treatments while maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, presentation and guest care. The role also contributes to treatment revenue, retail sales and overall guest satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Recognised qualification in Somatology, Beauty Therapy, Spa Therapy or equivalent
• Recognised massage qualification
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Spa/Beauty Therapist preferred
• Luxury hotel, lodge, resort or destination spa experience advantageous
• Safari lodge experience advantageous
• Experience with retail sales and upselling preferred
• ITEC, CIDESCO, CIBTAC or equivalent advantageous
• Strong massage and beauty treatment skills
• Professional, well presented and guest-focused
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Commercially aware and confident recommending treatments and products
• Flexible and able to work under pressure

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide professional spa treatments to luxury lodge guests
• Perform massages, facials, body treatments, manicures and pedicures where qualified
• Conduct consultations and identify guest treatment requirements
• Create a relaxing, personalised guest experience
• Provide appropriate aftercare advice and treatment recommendations
• Promote additional treatments, packages and retail products
• Work towards individual treatment and retail sales targets
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms to luxury standards
• Follow all treatment protocols, SOPs, hygiene and safety procedures
• Maintain exceptional personal grooming and professional presentation
• Monitor product usage and minimise wastage
• Assist with stock counts and report low or damaged stock
• Work closely with the Spa Manager and other therapists
• Assist with spa setup, closing procedures and special guest requests
• Support spa promotions and guest engagement initiatives
• Remain flexible according to guest bookings and lodge requirements
• Maintain guest confidentiality, privacy and discretion

PACKAGE:

• Salary: R7,500 – R9,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience
• Applicable treatment and retail commission structure
• Staff accommodation and meals, subject to company policy
