Your Responsibilities Will Include

• To perform high-level database administration on the development, tests, and production of Oracle database systems within the Information Technology Group.
• To ensure quality delivery of technical solutions across all database systems, with respect to technology deployments, performance, security, processes, and controls.
• To interact with the Infrastructure Operations, Dev/Ops teams, and Delivery vendors with the design, configuration and deployment of systems.
• To ensure Maximum Available and optimally configured Database Solutions that meet customer expectations within agreed service levels.
• Manage quality of highly technical solution and numerous complex integrations ensuring end-to-end transaction performance and availability is uncompromised.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• 3yr relevel IT Degree/Diploma essential.
• 3+ years of Oracle Database support experience is essential.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, And Experience

• Sound knowledge of the system, database, and performance troubleshooting and tuning.
• Extensive Knowledge of Oracle database technology and functionality.
• Database Design, Backup & Recovery technologies, Configuration, Administration principles, Storage Area Network (SAN) Technologies and IT Infrastructure Best Practices, Database Cloud Technologies - AWS, OCI
• Structured Query Language (SQL) script writing
• Database Security best practices including vulnerability patching
• Skills; Analytical, Problem-solving, Leadership, Communication (verbal and written); coordination; interpersonal skills, and Decision Making.
