Specialist ERP ABAP & Integration - Johannesburg at South32

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Assist with the establishment and governance of the ERP Platform practices and processes in collaboration with suppliers and the broader Platform Teams;
• Ensure effective and efficient delivery of ERP services and solutions to the Functions and Operation and take responsibility for the support of all ERP activities;
• Ensure interactions for both producers and consumers of ERP ABAP & Integration services are clearly articulated and adhered to;
• Adhere to the Technology processes and procedures specifically the customer engagement, change and communication plans and strategies;
• Ensure service level requirements of the ERP Platform are clearly articulated and managed;
• Maintain a strong awareness of business processes that the ERP Platform supports and seek to continuously improve the processes while minimising disruption;
• Be a key contact for ABAP & Integration ERP activities and effectively manage relationships with the Function and Operation teams.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience;
• Demonstrated experience in forming and maintaining ABAP & Integration  ERP practices, framework and processes;
• Sound knowledge of contract and vendor management processes and practices;
• Deep technical skills and knowledge of ABAP & Integration ERP practices and lifecycle;
• Demonstrated understanding of developing, implementing, and maintaining SAP integration solutions across multiple systems;
• Knowledge and experience in SAP Business Technology Platform will be an added advantage;
• Experience in protocols and formats such as SOAP, REST, OData, IDOC, SFTP, JSON, XML will be an added advantage;
• Experience in ABAP, Java, JavaScript and Groovy will be an added advantage.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree or equal relevant qualification (BTech, Degree etc);
• Relevant certification (SAP / ERP certification).
