Specialist Logistics Outbound - Richards Bay at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As a Specialist Logistics Outbound, you will be responsible to provide day-to-day co-ordination, expertise and direction to respective stakeholders within Logistics to ensure delivery against plans.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Provide day to day support, expertise and direction to the production team within the Logistics area to ensure delivery against plans;
• Ensure that all stakeholders are running their operations as per key performance indicators or scope of work as defined in the contract;
• Ensure that the vendor partner supplies a full shift complement of drivers and escort vehicle drivers for the safe transportation of the solid and liquid metal;
• Conduct the route inspection from time to time on Metal Logistics to identify any hazards that may cause delays in the operation and advise the drivers accordingly;
• Ensure that stockyard operation is running safely and efficiently as per scope of work;
• Build, support and maintain healthy diverse internal and external relationships and implement remedial actions were required to ensure achievement of organisational goals;
• Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, and South32 standards and requirements;
• Consolidation of information and report writing.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 3 -5 years of experience in Production / heavy Industry environment;
• Knowledge of Logistics/ Shipping will be advantageous.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in a technical field of study.
