The Specialist, Product Management, Network Partnerships Cross Border Payments will have direct oversight of the Mastercard Cross Border Services (MA XBS) partner network, comprised of partners such banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) in multiple countries in Southern Africa . Manages existing direct/indirect connections to clearings and partner relationships, while also expanding the network in line with strategic network and product objectives.
Role
Assist in managing all MA XBS network partnerships and last mile connectivity into Southern Africa.
Assist in driving the expansion and improvement of the MA XBS in Southern Africa network in line with the network objectives.
Assist in identifying for consideration opportunities for direct participation in payment schemes in collaboration with the relevant Mastercard Transaction Services teams and support in the execution of the related projects.
Assist in ensuring redundancy throughout the network, in all key markets of operation.
Support the regional stakeholders and the Transfer Solutions commercialization team to ensure with market insight and developments
Assist in navigating across cultures and geographies and leverage strong relationships with key groups across Mastercard to gain support and buy-in from regional stakeholders
Assist to drive institutionalized knowledge with consistent documentation (e.g., support documents) across all processes to support knowledge management and ensure consistency and repeatability across projects
Assist in relationship management with existing partners, follow up financial and operational performance.
Visiting Partner locations to Assist with Branding Activities for MA XBS.
Assist in resolving Transaction escalations to MA XBS Customer Service.
Coordinating calls between Partners and internal MA XBS teams
Stay up to date with relevant payment (scheme-) evolutions and trends in the covered region.

Can communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity.
Exposure building organizational relationships, partnering with, and influencing executive leadership while commanding the respect of the individual product practitioners across the organization.
Exposure in international payments, foreign exchange, cash management, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
Has 3+ years of work experience in cross-border remittances, banking, fintech or payments industry.
Knowledge of payment systems, schemes, and structures is desirable.
