Specialist Supply Chain Technology at AngloGold Ashanti

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• The purpose of this true global role is business facing, responsible for stakeholder engagement with the supply chain function and interactions at all levels. It ensures Digital Technology provides reliable and resilient IT applications and platforms for the supply chain function, with mature global services.
• This role is business-facing and is responsible for stakeholder engagement with the Supply Chain function - at all levels within the company with global reach.
• The role holder is accountable to ensure that DT provides reliable and resilient IT applications and platforms for the Supply Chain function, with mature global services, including help desk support, sustainment, and material change projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• A Bachelor’s degree qualification in IT related field
• SAP MM Certification
• +5 years in corporate IT environment
• +5 years’ experience with supply chain systems
• +5 years delivering new platforms and applications
• Mining experience is an added advantage

Desired competencies

• SAP MM, WM and SD functional and configuration skills
• Strong background in SAP ECC modules and Ariba
• Behaviour consistent with new AngloGold Ashanti’s Values
• Sound understanding of components and key drivers of the mining value chain
• Demonstrated capability in organising work, setting priorities and exercising sound independent judgement
• Strong change and configuration management background in order to ensure stable end user experiences

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Work Accountabilities:

• Work with peers to review business objectives, propose and recommend solutions and optimal delivery mechanisms
• Has good understanding of the Supply Chain Management processes and is able to influence process improvements, automation, and improved productivity measures
• Lead discussions with stakeholders and their teams on all functional system matters including monitoring, governing, and Service Level Agreement management
• Co-develop and regularly update the functional training materials and ensure functional training interventions are implemented at per agreed plans
• Cultivate strong and productive relationships with the Supply Chain groups and appropriate senior leaders in order to provide a point of contact and accountability for the services provided
• Participate in the delivery of new platforms and applications to the Supply Chain function
• Ensure excellent customer service provided by the group, in a transparent and accountable manner
• Analyses requirements and make recommendations to the Manager: Supply Chain Technology for technical solutions.
• Cooperate with and maintain records of compliance related to the DT risk management process
• The role holder is accountable to take all necessary actions to ensure compliance with required governance in his/her area of accountability. i.e., SOX activities, segregation of duties, access control to platforms (such as ARP)
• Effective management of Commercial contracts related to the area
• Responsible for medium term operational and capital planning
• Effective management of Incidents/Requests/Changes/Problems/Config/capacity/Event etc.
• Effective management of Demands and Projects related to area
• Ensure alignment between other groups
• The role holder should demonstrate ability to analyse business processes, functional and technical requirements
• Work closely with stakeholders in the prioritisation, testing and deployment of system change requests and /or providing support.
