Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech Therapy and Audiology. Must be registered with HPCSA as Speech Therapy or Speech Therapy and Audiology.
Applicants must have completed one year Community service and be registered as an independent practitioner.
Competencies: Knowledge and skills in Early Communication Intervention.
Knowledge and skills in individual therapy, family-focused intervention and facilitation of support groups.
Ability to work in a team, plan, organize and coordinate clinical service.
Duties :
Provision and monitoring of speech therapy services in line with the department, provincial and national strategic and operational plans, including quality assurance principles within a multicultural multi- linguistic environment.
Lead and adapt to change with effective communication. Conduct early communication intervention and universal newborn hearing screenings.
