    Chief Clinical Technologist (Re-Advertisement)

    Duties :

    • The Chief Cardiovascular Perfusionist will have to manage their team to overlook primarily three subdisciplines, adult cardiac surgery, paediatric cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery for cardiopulmonary bypass, cell saving, intra-aortic balloon pumps and ECMO. He/she should be available for on-call services for emergency cases that require theatre.

    Requirements :

Significant experience and interest in Reproductive Medicine and advanced Endoscopic surgery skills is a Requirement.     • Render, organize and oversee inpatient and outpatient services in general gynecology, Reproductive Medicine, and complicated endoscopic surgery. Lead and coordinate the comprehensive and multidisciplinary pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative assessment, clinical management, and referral of women with reproductive health disorders and complex gynaecological conditions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.     Requirements :

    • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa(HPCSA) as a medical specialist in psychiatry. Master of Medicine in Psychiatry (MMedPsych) and or a Fellowship of the College of Psychiatrists of South Africa (FCPsychSA).

Administration: Perform administrative tasks related to patient management and student training. Address patient complaints. Attend scheduled meetings with hospital management.
    • Contribute to electronic databases for research purposes. Coordinate duty lists and staff allocations in the department. Ensure recruitment and retention of staff in the department.
    • Liase with other departments and with other hospitals where required. Academic: Provision of teaching and learning to ensure that both under- and post graduate students are taught the required skills and are provided with opportunities to learn in a safe environment.
