As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation to patients with communication, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to improving functional outcomes and enhancing quality of life for patients in a supportive and professional environment.
Our group practice at Nurture Stellenbosch in the Western Cape is seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Therapist (Fixed term) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
Current HPCSA registration and Malpractice Insurance
Up to date CPD status
Experience in a rehabilitation environment advantageous
Special interest / expertise within Neurological conditions
Valid driver’s license with own transport
KEY COMPETENCIES
Good written and spoken English language skills (Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous)
Willing to work in acute, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation environments
Awareness of evidence base for interventions
Computer literacy (assessment and weekly reports for medical funders and Microsoft Office Suite)
Ability to self-manage; prioritize workload, and adaptability
Excellent communication and collaborative skills within a team setting
