Role Description

• Are you an experienced SQL Specialist with a passion for working with large data sources and cutting-edge cloud technologies? We are looking for a skilled SQL Specialist to join our dynamic team, focusing on leveraging AWS cloud services (Athena, Redshift, Lambda, CloudFormation Stack, EMR) to design and optimize data processes. This role will give you the opportunity to work on complex data management, performance tuning, and provide key insights for business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Writing and Optimizing SQL Queries:
• Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Optimize queries for performance, particularly when working with large datasets.
• Data Management:
• Manage data import/export processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity across systems.
• Database Performance Tuning:
• Analyze and improve database performance using indexing, query optimization, and resource management. Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Generate reports based on business requirements, provide actionable insights, and create stored procedures, triggers, and views for streamlined reporting and analysis.
• Collaboration with Other Teams:
• Collaborate with developers, system admins, and other stakeholders to ensure data systems align with business goals and to support application development.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Identify and resolve data-related issues, including data corruption, performance issues, and connectivity problems. Provide ongoing support for production databases.
• Documentation:
• Document SQL scripts, database schemas, and processes for future use by the team. Maintain clear documentation on standards and best practices.
• Compliance and Best Practices:
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Stay updated on new SQL technologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of SQL (Oracle, Redshift, PostgreSQL).
• Proven experience in working with AWS cloud services, including Athena, Redshift, Lambda, CloudFormation Stack, and EMR.
• Experience in working with large data sources and complex ETL processes.
• Strong database performance tuning and optimization skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in creating and maintaining clear documentation.
• Knowledge of best practices in data management and compliance.
