Basic qualification that allows registration with SANC as an Enrolled nurse. Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse. Knowledge and understanding of the Nursing Act, Patients’ rights, Batho Pele Principles. Good Communication Skills (Verbal and Written).
Duties :
Demonstrate basic understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices. Promote quality of basic nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards as determined by the institution.
Ensure TB patient tracing and linkage to care, follow up of TB patients transferred out from the Hospital to the PHC facilities for continuity of care. Notification of all TB confirmed cases in the hospital.
Ensure adherence to treatment by monitoring continuity observed treatment plans support under the supervision of a profession nurse. Timeous submission of linkage to care reports.
