Stevedore at FFS Refiners

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Accurate and efficient transfer of product from storage tank and road tankers to shipping vessel (and the other way) by means of operating pumps and flexible hoses.
• Often required to work at heights.
• Lift, carry, rig, and connect hoses using required tools.
• Occasionally required to work in confined spaces.
• Maintain all relevant HSE, operating and cleanliness standards.
• Report worn or broken pumps or hoses immediately.
• Able to use a two-way radio efficiently and proper etiquette.
• Follow instructions on other similar duties which arise from time to time.

Requirements

• Essential: South African citizen
• Minimum: Matric

• Ability to communicate (spoken & written) in English.
• Ability to follow set routines independently with minimal supervision.
• Time management of daily routines and ability to shuffle routines as required.
• Trustworthy, use of discretion & energetic.
• Flexitime work system with regular overtime and weekend work.
