Stock Controller(AN 45) at Werkie

Key Responsibilities:

• Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
• Enter purchase details (vendor information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases.
• Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed.
• Track shipments and address any delays.
• Oversee storage of products, particularly fragile items.
• Evaluate suppliers' offers and negotiate profitable deals.
• Coordinate regular inventory audits.
• Liaise with warehouse staff and internal teams to test product quality (delivery status and storage conditions).
• Updated and maintain inventory records, including daily shipments.
• Ensure purchases do not exceed budget.
• Receive goods using appropriate software, ensuring paperwork accuracy and goods condition.
• Ensure a FIFO stock rotation system is maintained.
• Keep stores clean, safe, and organized to maximize sales and minimize waste.
• Support the PI team with physical stock checks when necessary.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the warehouse and site.
• Assist the production department as required by site management.
• Support daily transport administration processes to ensure right first-time dispatch.
• Receive and inspect all deliveries.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding discrepancies and delivery issues.
• Maintain detailed records of shortages and surplus items.
• Update inventory management systems regularly.
• Pick and deliver goods using a forklift.
• Organize and deliver goods from the store to relevant departments.

Job Requirements:

• 2–5 years of proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, Warehouse Manager, or similar role.
• Matric Higher Grade.
• Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
• Excellent computer skills with Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas).
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Managerial and leadership skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
