    Stock Controller - Mondelez Coega (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

    Role Outline

    • To ensure that all procedures pertaining to all functions within the Inventory and quality department are carried out with the utmost professionalism. Serve as the key liaison between the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance teams. Support investigations into discrepancies linked to product condition, ageing, or quality status and "making DHL a great place to work".       

    Key Responsibilities

    • Communicate and escalate quality-related stock concerns including damages, expiries, recalls, blocked stock, and product-at-risk.
    • Coordinate and document all quality holds, product releases, and WMS stock status changes.
    • Assist Quality during internal/external audits by providing accurate and compliant inventory documentation.
    • Participate in root-cause analysis of quality-related inventory non-conformances.
    • Perform routine stock inspections to ensure compliance with customer SOPs and internal standards.
    • Prepare daily/weekly reports highlighting quality-impacting inventory issues, trends, and risks.
    • Support operational teams with corrective actions where inventory-handling processes affect quality.
    • Ensure proper segregation, labelling, traceability, and storage of quality-sensitive stock.
    • Audit readiness and performance of inventory documentation
    • Improved visibility and trending of quality-related inventory issues.
    • Control the quality cage movements.
    • Supervise team activity bases daily, ensure deadlines are met daily

    • Carry out detailed stock investigations when requested, make adjustments and report.
    • Utilize warehouse management systems effectively to support the above tasks.
    • Filing all documentation generated as a result of the above.
    • Attend customer meetings as required
    • Ensure all equipment used during the course of daily duties is handled correctly and to report any defects to the Section Manager.
    • When conducting duties, follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices.
    • Run daily reports as required by management for the Department
    • Perform administration tasks according to standard operating procedures.

    Qualifications/Experience

    • Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
    • Relevant qualification
    • 1 to 2 years relevant Logistics Sector experience

    Skills/Competencies

    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
    • MS Office proficiency
    • Computer Literacy
    • Very systematic and thorough
    • Excellent administration skills
    • Experience in working in the inventory department essential
    • Knowledge and experience on the SAP WM system is preferable
    • Excellent knowledge of warehouse processes
    • Excellent knowledge of inventory/stock processes essential
    • Thorough knowledge and a proven track record of investigations of stock issues to resolution is essential
    • Customer relationship building
