Stock Controller - Tygervalley at Hyundai Automotive South Africa

Job Overview:

• The Stock Controller will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures to ensure the integrity of our stock control systems.
• The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock checks and audits
• Coordinate with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure timely and accurate stock replenishment
• Identify and investigate discrepancies in inventory levels and implement corrective actions
• Update and maintain inventory records in the company's database or inventory management system
• Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and trends for management review
• Implement inventory control measures to prevent stock shrinkage and loss
• Work closely with other departments to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory
• Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to resolve stock-related issues
• Participate in the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role in a retail or warehouse environment
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices
• Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A diploma or degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred
