Stock Handler at CLS Human Capital Specialists

Job Purpose

The Stock Handler will be responsible for the physical handling of stock, inventory control and assisting with the application of proper storekeeping management methods in the warehouse.

Education and Qualification Requirements

Minimum education (essential)

• National Senior Certificate (60% min marks for Mathematics)

Minimum applicable experience (years)

• 2 – 3 years’ experience in a stocktaking role

Required nature of experience

• Packing, sorting, moving, loading and offloading of stock
• Experience in attending and performing stock takes (annually, quarterly or monthly)
• Experience in a warehouse operator/assistant position (will be advantageous)

Skills and Knowledge (essential)

• Organisational skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
• Good arithmetic and accuracy when working with numbers and quantities
• Computer Literacy would be advantageous
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise, with a sense of urgency and time management
• Self-driven and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to manage more than one task at any given time
• Ability to use common warehouse machinery and equipment
