PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

• Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the incumbent of this position will be responsible for handling the Merebank inbound processes. This includes the issuing, receiving, binning, picking and counting of stock.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

•     A minimum of 1 year in the Engineering stores environment 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•     Matric with Maths and Science OR RPE Guidelines
•     Crane and Forklift License
•     Overhead hoist license 
•     Stores certificate or Diploma in inventory control will be advantageous 

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS:

•     Goods receipt and goods issuing on SAP Migo
•     Binning of stock items. Bin variances to be reported immediately
•     Filing of stores documents
•     Assist in the Off loading of goods from truck
•     Stock counts & stock control checks. Ensure receipt of stock and non stock items are done immediately
•     Daily compliance of Safety, Health & Environmental aspects
•     Customer focus approach in service delivery
•     Receive projects related orders
•     Daily check on lubricants in oil store
•     Assists with the issue counter activities to ensure good customer service
•     Ensuring stock control checks on items picked 
•     Eliminate poor storage and issuing standards
•     Work within Main & Sub stores

•     Log issues & queries in Shift report & hand over to next shift
