Stores Controller at Sappi

As a Stores Controller , you will be responsible for:

• Control the daily receiving, issuing and binning processes of stock and DPR’s.
• Receive, control, and document the store's rotatable repairs as per the process.
• Control the daily activities of the personnel in stores.
• Highlight and report on any abnormalities daily.
• Record and verify the processing of all documents daily.
• Ensure the filing of all documentation.
• Control all deliveries/collections to and from the plant.
• Ensure stock counts are done effectively.
• Record and process the quality notification process.
• Ensure all the returns to vendors are coordinated and done.
• Ensure that SAP accurately reflects the actual stocks in the bins.
• Maintain customer relationships.
• Resolve external and internal customer issues.
• Advise on the store process to Store personnel and customers.
• Ensure compliance with business processes within his area of responsibility.
• Work standby and overtime as required.
• Understand and comply with the SHEQ requirements of the job and ensure legal compliance.
• Identify and take corrective action in terms of SHEQ conditions and hazards.
• Maintain 5S objective and a high level of good housekeeping in the workplace at all times.
• Control the Stores vehicles when used for deliveries or collections to the plant.
• Perform all daily/weekly and monthly tasks and any other assigned duties that fall within the scope of the Stores Controller.

What are we looking for? 

• Matric with Maths and Science or N3 in Engineering studies
• NQF 5 - Material/ Inventory management certificate or relevant tertiary qualification
• 3- 5 years’ stores experience
• Valid Driving License
