Strategy and Transformation Specialist at Anglo American

Job Description:
Your responsibility will be to actively work with the Head of Global Shared Services and the Global Shared Services Transformation Lead to develop the detailed strategic plans for Global Shared Services in the near, medium and longer terms according to the operating model.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Translates strategic plans into transformation requirements and a project roadmap to deliver the required transformation.
• Develops and tracks the delivery of qualitative and quantitative benefits cases and outcomes for transformational initiatives. 
• Management of the delivery of Anglo American strategic and transformation initiatives within Global Shared Services.
• Works as an Internal Consultant with the Global Shared Services Leadership Team to identify and develop opportunities for improvements aligned to the Global Shared Services strategic objectives.
• Defines the delivery models for transformation initiatives and identifies the business and programme resources required to deliver initiatives.
• Mobilisation of project delivery teams, including the engagement of 3rd party support requirements.
• Tracks the progress of transformation initiatives against milestones and plans.
• Responsible for project and programme reporting (progress, risk and issues, benefits) to key Global Shared Services and business stakeholders.
• This role at a Band 6 level reporting to the Global Shared Services Transformation Lead

Qualifications:

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in business related discipline is a minimum requirement.
• Completed or in the process of completion of a commercial postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in the successful defining, delivery and implementation of strategy and requirements for transformation within a Shared Services and operating model environment.
• Experience in leading high performing virtual teams.
• Senior and/or Executive level stakeholder engagement experience.
• Demonstrated Project and Financial Management skills.
   

Other Requirements

• Advanced computer literacy including MS Office Suite.
• Experience in the use of SAP and/or other similar enterprise software within a shared services environment would be advantageous.
