Student Development Officer - (41) at University of Mpumalanga (UMP)

Key Performance Areas:

• Provide support to the student leadership to be functional.
• Identification of training/development needs of students and student leaders.
• Facilitate the delivery of training and development programmes for student leaders as well as other students.
• Creating awareness regarding student development opportunities.
• Provide operational support and mentorship to student societies and clubs.

Minimum Requirements:

•  A 3 year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
•  A minimum of 3 years of teaching/training experience.
• Proof of having served in a student leadership structure (SRC).
• Qualification in teaching/training will be an added advantage.

Key Competencies

• A sound knowledge of trends in student governance affairs.
• Ability to research and develop student leadership and development programmes and material, and to promote cultural diversity.
• Functional knowledge of management principles.
• Ability to organise and administrate the operations of a function/event on campus.
