Superintendent Business Improvement - Hotazel Manganese Mines at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As a Superintendent Business Improvement , you will be responsible to drive improvement and innovation across HMM, to enable stable, predictable, and continuously improving operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Lead and facilitate improvement idea generation and pipeline development;
• Build and develop improvement capability across HMM through coaching, training and education of site personnel in relevant improvement / problem-solving methodologies and techniques (including Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, Value Chain Analysis, etc);
• Drive timely delivery of improvement initiatives and demonstrate business benefits;
• Support the implementation and embedment of the South32 Operating System;
• Manage and report on the Operation’s improvement portfolio (One Portfolio) to ensure the improvement pipeline is sufficiently advanced and improvement initiatives are progressed in accordance with planned milestones;
• Conduct regular improvement diagnostics to confirm the Operation’s constraints and improvement levers;
• Lead organizational change / drive a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum experience of 5 years within the mining industry;
• Track record of implementation of continuous improvement projects is essential.

Qualifications for this role are:

•  Degree in Engineering,
•  A Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
