Coordinates the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the rehabilitation and maintenance of civil services infrastructure (roads, water, sewage, storm water drainage, refuse removal, facilities, parks, sport field, gardens, open spaces and cemeteries) and the adequacy of traffic signage and road markings through investigation and interpretation of developmental requirements against the capacity and capability of the departmental to accomplish immediate, short and longer term service delivery objectives
To plan, lead, organise and control, efficiently, proactively and objectives based, a decentralized area based maintenance and construction services in respect of Roads and Storm water, water supply and reticulation, sewerage collection network and pumping, facilities, parks, sports grounds cemeteries, sanitation, Public Open Spaces, public amenities (inclusive of public toilets) to establish and maintain improved service level standards to local communities Directs and controls the key performance indicator’s and outcomes of personnel within the Directorate: Technical & Planning Services Implement procedures, systems and controls to regulate specific work sequences and general practices / processes as dictated to in environmental health legislation and by – laws Co-ordinates, monitors and controls road and storm- water repair and construction work at specific sites Controlling the utilization of materials and discharging / offloading of materials for repair or reconstruction works Completes internal transactional required quantities of materials The full scope of duties is contained in the job description.
