Superintendent Project Planning - Hotazel Manganese Mines at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As a Superintendent Project Planning, you will be responsible to manage and improve the capital project portfolio through planning and assurance processes and ensure that the physical assets support the HMM business objectives through out the life of the operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Planning of HMM capital portfolio in line with LoOP and MTP processes;
• Conduct assurance reviews on projects prior to tollgating and during the project to ensure the S32 Investment and Projects standards are adhered to;
• Continuously improve the Project Processes and where required develop and imbed new processes;
• Integrate processes between departments and stakeholders to ensure well designed work;
• Provide support, mentoring and guidance to the Projects team;
• Support and facilitate project management of strategic and complex Projects.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience in Projects & Mining environment;
• Experience of the Mining industry will be advantageous;
• Knowledge of SAP, MS and CPS packages is essential.
   

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree or B Tech/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Mining Engineering or Finance;
• Post graduate qualification in project management will be advantageous.
