Supervisor - Blood Bank (Western Cape)

Main Purpose:
- To schedule and train staff to provide an efficient service and maintain professional standards. Investigation of non-conformances.
- Prepares the Blood Bank for assessment and accreditation to meet regulatory requirements as well as provide sufficient blood products for transfusion purposes.
- Co-ordinates equipment preventative maintenance schedules to preserve the cold chain
Requirements

Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- National Diploma in Biomedical Technology or Bachelor of Health Sciences with Blood Transfusion Board Exam Certification.
- Extensive Technical Experience (3 Years post qualification in blood transfusion)
- Registered with HPCSA
- Unendorsed driver’s licence
- Own reliable transport

- Have a friendly disposition and show keen interest in the work.
- A willingness to work as part of a team is essential
- Attention to detail
