About the Role

• The Supervisor: Foreman position at Nissan East Rand is a leadership role primarily focused on overseeing production and team performance within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of production staff, ensuring they meet daily performance and quality targets.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate production schedules and resolve any operational issues.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the production process.
• Conduct regular team meetings to provide updates, training, and reinforce company policies and procedures.
• Evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement plans where necessary.
• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports on production metrics, workforce performance, and safety incidents.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and the work area to uphold health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a supervisory or foreman role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes and quality control methodologies.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and management.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry or with assembly line operations.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with skills development and training programs for employees.
