Supervisor Maintenance Alesa FTC - Richards Bay at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a fixed term contract position.
• As a Supervisor Maintenance Alesa, you will be responsible to lead a team of multi-skilled artisans and be responsible for the execution of Work Management and supervise work execution, inspections and observations in a safe and sustainable manner in the Maintenance department.  

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• You will be responsible for well-designed work to guarantee safe execution of all work;
• Ensuring effective execution of all planned & unplanned maintenance activities, to the defined quality standards;
• Manage work execution to deliver adherence to schedule on the day;
• To co-ordinate effective prioritization and execution of Plant shutdowns within planned duration;
• Delivery of maintenance KPI’s for your section;
• Effective management of spares and repairable process;
• Manage the staffing and development of personnel & contractors within your team;
• Embed and sustain a continuous improvement culture in your team.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• A minimum of 3-5 years maintenance experience of which 1 year in a supervisory capacity in a technical field;
•  Be prepared to work shifts if needed;
•  Perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organization;
• Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree / National Diploma in a Technical field of study OR a  T3/S4 in an Engineering field of study;
• Valid Trade Test would be advantageous.
