Purpose of the position

• Supervise the activities of the Mechanical team within the BU

Job Specific Experience

• 5 years experience in a heavy industry environment
• Experience within the Pulp & Paper industry and specifically within Mondi Richards Bay- BUs equipment will be beneficial
• Roll maintenance experience would be advantageous.
• Recognition for prior learning will be considered/given

Qualifications & Expertise

• Matric plus N4 (4 subjects)
• Trade Tested Fitter & Turner
• A relevant National Diploma would be advantageous

Functional Outputs

• Continuous improvement of the Mechanical maintenance function
• Monitor Mechanical team performance in line with agreed Maintenance KPIs
• Achieve Maintenance KPIs
• Manage SAP environment i.e. Prioritize notifications, manage work order backlogs, time keeping, overtime approval
• Assist with budget compilations and responsible for budget control
• Short term planning as well as planning for the annual shut
• Promote safety, health and environmental issues
• Accurate reporting

General

• Computer literacy including SAP is essential
• Permit Issuer/Owner
• Required to do standby duties
