Supervisor Recycling & Bath Plant MN - Richards Bay at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Supervisor Recycling and Bath Plant you will be responsible to lead a Maintenance team within an operation area or in a specialised discipline over the entire Operation and ensure all maintenance activities on the plant, equipment and utilities under accountability are safely executed against schedules, plans, and specified standards.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, and South32 standards and requirements;
• Implement effective risk management processes and engage relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence;
• Identify and develop cost-effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers;
• Continuously review cost vs. benefit and report recommendations;
• Ensure timely updates of resource work center capacity data to enable effective scheduling;
• Ensure timely evaluation and scoping of work requests prior to approval for the work management planning process;
• Participate in the weekly planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule;
• Ensure safe execution of maintenance work as per the signed-off schedule;
• Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to SAP processes and work instructions, and the entering of the relevant transactional data in SAP;
• Ensure that team members initiate appropriate master data changes (create, change or delete) to task lists and or work instructions.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• 4 - 6 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance;
• Supervisory Experience would be advantageous;.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Degree/Btech/National Diploma in technical field of study;
• Valid trade test is advantageous.
