Supplier Quality Engineer at Faurecia

Main purpose of the role

• The SQA is responsible for the quality compliance and improvement of externally sourced parts using the customer requirements and the Faurecia improvement process.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties
As an SQA, your main responsibilities are as follows:

• Establish, Implement and maintain receiving inspection instructions, master samples, control plan and FMEAs
• Ensure inspections and measurements are conducted at supplier according to control plan, reports received, and records maintained
• Ensure all parts/ raw material received are inspected, recorded and records maintained as per the control plan. Ensure COC received, validated and retained as per control plan.
• Organize inspections and measurements (paid by supplier).
• Implement containment actions (CSL2 when required) & rework/ sorting
• Implement containment actions at supplier and monitor effective close out
• Raise 8Ds for supplier related non-conformities, track progress and validate effective close out.
• Escalate information at plant level for supplier non-compliances
• Update the plant supplier performance board/ reports, validate and consolidate the indicators
• Realize special audit 20 questions on control plan
• Conduct process audit- SR audit if and when required
• Ensure supplier new purchased parts are effectively transferred/ introduced in the process.
• Raise red alert when CC product rejected. Escalate to Quality Manager and stop production process if parts issued to production
• Ensure traceability of CC parts maintained at all times
• Conduct process audits at suppliers if and when required.
• Participate in QRCI/ problem solving initiatives if and when required.
• Manage changes on BOP’s, (re-PPAP) and ensure supplier parts are PSW approved
• Manage the receiving inspection staff
• Ensure defective/ non-conforming supplier products are contained and returned to the supplier/ disposed of in an appropriate manner
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of the 7Quality basics in the receiving areas
• Ensure supplier non-conforming parts are scrapped from the system (scanning process) and scrap/ rework records forwarded to Logistics for claim purposes
• Approve transition ASQ>SQA and help compile lessons learned
• Escalate information on region and PG level

Collect data (part, picture, traceability…).
Qualifications And Position Requirements

• Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in Industrial engineering/ Quality sciences.

Knowledge and experience:

• Established decisive team player
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in the automotive industry
• Solid knowledge of Quality management systems in production
• Process orientated with exceptional customer relationship experience
• Languages: Proven oral and written communication skills with English and computer literate
