    Supply Chain Agro Manager, Productivity & Capability, AMESA Sector HQ

    Overview

    The purpose of this job is to drive the productivity program within Agro function across AMESA BUs and build the capabilities of Pepsico’s agronomists & our suppliers/farmers; through

    • Identifying areas of opportunity via conducting a costing deep dive to identify opportunities and run ideation sessions with the BUs and
    • Lifting and shifting PepsiCo’s Best Practices and Proven productivity techniques between the BUs and from the other sectors with a commitment to deliver $25 million on an annual bases
    • Building Agronomists & farmers capabilities across the sector to increase land yield , Carbon reduction, Water usage reduction which are critical to win in Pep+ agenda  …. & impact positively the quality of potatoes, Maize, Wheat, Corn, Peanut during the tilling, sowing, harvesting and during the plantation by monitoring the crops from getting impacted by any disease which has significant impact on the crops’ quality hence drive improvement in our production lines efficiency and win our consumer

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitate Productivity ideation sessions across the BUs to help identifying and developing a pipeline of Agro productivity initiatives to support AOP and follow up on the implementation.
    • Roll-out of PepsiCo Best Practices and Tools for achieving Productivity targets.
    • Maximize Lift and Shift opportunity, work closely with the field on developing field-ready tools sets that facilitate reapplication of productivity across several markets.
    • Build capability program (AET: Agro Expert Trainer) supported with training materials for Pep agronomists across different levels of maturity (Beginner, intermediate & advanced) which is critical specially for newly Pepsico Merged & acquired markets to establish robust capability on the ground to run day-to day operation.
    • Train the farmers with the support of the BUs to show them Agri best practices versus the traditional ones and how to increase their yield, quality which will be benefiting Pep and the farmers.
    • Develop the concept of Demo Farms per BU to be leveraged to train our farmers about BPs over and above the training sessions & make Pepsico the choice of farmers through the added value practices and capabilities
    • In charge of reporting markets & sector’s KPIs and drive insight report to show Agro operations effectiveness from cost, quality, supply …
    • Work closely with Finance team to capture any cost improvement opportunity & work closely with the BUs to identify and mitigate any performance gap or cost impact.

    Qualifications

    • Preferably master’s degree in agriculture or environmental Sciences or related Biological Sciences

    Work Experience

    • 10+ years’ experience in agriculture space
    • Leveraging agriculture programs and practices to build productivity & capability and drive impact.

    Demonstrated skills

    • Critical understanding of Agronomy for field and cash crops at field, post-harvest and commercial levels
    • High level communication skill
    • Key agricultural productivity opportunities and challenges
    • Ability to remain tactical and results-oriented in ambiguous, complex and less-structured environments.
    • Strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and plans.
    • Outstanding collaborator with proven communication skills and business orientation
    • Highly motivated individual with a passion for working with the field.
    • Proven skill in influencing and negotiating to foster alignment and drive follow-through.
    • Able to effectively work with people from all walks of life (varying cultures, standards of living, education) and levels of the organization to use influence to drive results.
