Our client is an international renewable energy company specialising in the development, engineering, procurement, construction, and operation of utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects. The business delivers renewable energy projects across multiple markets and is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement and purchasing activities across project and strategic sourcing functions. The role will be responsible for supplier management, contract negotiations, procurement strategy, cost optimisation, logistics coordination, and purchasing support for renewable energy projects in South Africa and other regions.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in international procurement and supply chain management within the renewable energy sector.
Renewable energy industry experience is essential.
Experience managing procurement activities for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Experience sourcing and managing suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
Strong contract negotiation and contract management experience.
Experience reviewing and managing invoicing, commercial terms, and supplier agreements.
Experience managing supplier performance and compliance.
Knowledge of local and international procurement practices.
Experience supporting project delivery teams through procurement and supply chain functions.
Strong understanding of purchasing strategies, supplier qualification processes, and framework agreements.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
