Supply Chain & Operations Coordinator at CLS Human Capital Specialists

Introduction:

• Our client is an established South African business operating within the wholesale, distribution, and consumer goods sectors. They are seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Operations Coordinator to join their team in a permanent, fully office-based role based in Kempton Park, Gauteng.

Job Purpose:

• To oversee and coordinate the company's procurement, logistics, inventory, operational, and financial administration functions, ensuring operational efficiency, accurate financial controls, effective stakeholder communication, and the delivery of reliable operational and financial reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education (essential):

• National Senior Certificate

Minimum applicable experience (years):

• 5+ years in operations, logistics, and financial administration

Required nature of experience:

• End-to-end procurement lifecycle management (local and international)
• Invoice verification, reconciliation, and financial administration
• Inventory control and stock forecasting
• Logistics coordination and supplier management

Skills and Knowledge (essential):

• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost control.
• Stock forecasting and demand planning.
• Financial reconciliation and invoice auditing.
• Strong operational and logistical coordination abilities.

• Proficient in Afrikaans and English

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND OBJECTIVES

Financial Verification & Accounting Administration

• Review, reconcile, and verify supplier invoices prior to payment approval
• Ensure alignment with contracts, pricing agreements, rebates, and terms
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and variances
• Provide clean, verified financial data to the finance department

Stock Management, Projections & Procurement

• Monitor and manage inventory levels across product lines
• Develop stock forecasts using historical and financial data
• Oversee procurement lifecycle for local and imported goods
• Maintain supplier relationships and track shipments

Centralized Communications & Operational Coordination

• Act as central communication hub between regional teams, suppliers, and head office
• Filter and route operational and administrative queries appropriately
• Resolve or escalate issues efficiently to relevant departments
• Maintain structured communication flow across the business.

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination

• Oversee movement of goods from procurement to distribution points
• Ensure documentation accuracy across logistics processes
• Support import/export coordination where required
• Monitor logistics efficiency and delivery timelines 

Reporting & Financial/Operational Analysis

• Prepare monthly operational, inventory, and financial performance reports
• Analyse variances in cost, stock, and procurement performance
• Provide insights and recommendations to management
• Maintain accurate dashboards and reporting systems
