    Supply Chain Supervisor (Burgersfort)

    Job Description:
    Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Ensure the operational department provides good customer service
    • Support customers for special orders
    • Build business relationships with customers and suppliers
    • Identify more effective suppliers for customer needs
    • Ensure that materials are handled in a safe and legal manner
    • Assess quality of suppliers
    • Establish procedures for abnormal work requirements which fall outside of standard procedures
    • Ensure that employees have clear work expectations and plans
    • Communicate effective with Management
    • Identify potential conflict situation and minimize the implications
    • Control discipline and ensure fair decisions regarding
    • Employee Relations
    • Fairly manage cultural diversity
    • Support the induction of new employees
    • Identify potential conflict situations and minimize the implications
    • Identify ideas to increase motivation
    • Ensure competency of employees for the work required
    • Advise employees on career opportunities and the requirements to achieve personal growth
    • Ensure that require job instructions area available to employees
    • Implement and maintain applicable Safety, Regulations, The Act, Codes of Practice and standards
    • Complete safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports for area
    • Ensure that accurate labour records including overtime worked are maintained
    • Compile accurate reports
    • Conduct required meetings including safety
    • Prepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customers
    • Complete audit administration
    • Identify opportunities to improve operations
    • Participate in improvement
    • Support efforts to overcome operational problems projects
    • Identify risks and threats to management proactively

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualifications
    • Materials Management/Logistics Diploma – 1 year min
    • Advantageous: Technical/Financial/Commercial degree

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience at supervisory level with a supply/logistics management environment.
    • SAP MM experience or equivalent – daily use.
    • Relevant Materials Handling Equipment

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Valid driver’s license code 08
    • Computer literacy for necessary systems
