Brief description

The main purpose of this position is to design, implement, secure and maintain solutions in support of the payments system and SWIFT environment, with a focus on information and Cybersecurity .

Detailed description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Design, integrate, implement, test, maintain and support the SWIFT Alliance suite, SWIFTNet, Network (Firewall/Routers/HSMs etc.) and SWIFTNet Web Access infrastructures).
• Implement the SWIFT customer security framework in accordance with governance and compliance standards.
• Perform SWIFT, Clients' business continuity planning and disaster recovery testing as well as SWIFT operating centre (OPC) and cold-start testing to meet business requirements of tier 0 and tier 1 environments.
• Understand and internalise client requirements and provide technical assistance to other SWIFT users and end-users in their daily work.
• Liaise with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of the various network, server, storage and security technologies and products to ensure all relevant devices and systems are on the latest stable software, operating system and firmware versions.
• Create and maintain technical network, server, storage and security documentation and procedures to ensure continuity of network services.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the functionality of the deployed technologies and products.
• Comply with the client’s policies, procedures and other legislative requirements in order to mitigate risks within the payments system and SWIFT environment.
• Provide technical support to the business in relation to the management and maintenance of the client’s external financial information feeds and other functions in the section.
• Report periodically on the level of adherence to the various relevant frameworks in order to measure compliance.

Job requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

• a minimum of a National Diploma (NQF 6) in Information and Communications Technology (ICT);
• SWIFT and cybersecurity certifications;
• Network, AIX, Linux and MQ certifications (will be an added advantage); and
• five to seven years’ experience in SWIFT and information security environments

• business continuity planning knowledge and skill;
• infrastructure design and development knowledge and skill;

Salary: R720,000.00 - R980,000.00 per year
