System Business Analyst at Hire Resolve

Job Description

• An established retail and FinTech organization is seeking a System Business Analyst to support its Financial Services (VAS) and Cellular business areas in Cape Town, Western Cape . The successful candidate will act as the interface between Systems Teams, Business, and 3rd Parties, diagnosing problems, proposing solutions, and executing action plans.

 Responsibilities: 

• Serve as the primary liaison between business units, systems teams, and third-party vendors.
• Diagnose problems, propose improvements, and execute action plans for business and system processes.
• Elicit, document, and maintain Business Requirement Specifications (BRS/BRD).
• Analyse and optimise business processes within VAS & Cellular operations.
• Support implementation, integration, and maintenance of FinTech solutions and cloud-based applications (SaaS).
• Conduct testing setup, management, and execution to ensure quality system launches and maintenance.
• Provide training, technical support, and change management guidance to end-users.
• Collaborate with IT and third-party providers on system architecture, integration, and enhancements.
• Apply SDLC management, change control, and defect management principles.
• Develop business reports, dashboards, and analytics tools to support decision-making.
• Use modelling techniques (UML, BPMN, flowcharts) for process mapping and system documentation.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA and data protection standards.
• Identify opportunities for FinTech-driven process improvements and risk mitigation.

 Requirements 

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Relevant Degree or Higher National Diploma (IT, Computer Science, System Design, Management Science, Business Studies, Information Systems, Business Analysis)
• Project Management Diploma / Certificate preferred
• Minimum 3 years in FinTech or financial services
• ±5 years in apparel retail systems with exposure to:VAS & Cellular business processes
• Process optimisation and improvement
• Eliciting and documenting BRS/BRD
• IT and 3rd party collaboration
• Testing setup, management, and execution
• Project management (leading and motivating teams)
• Training and change management
• Business-as-usual systems support
• System architecture understanding (integration/technical competencies)
• UML modelling: context diagrams, workflows, BPMN, use cases
• Test execution for digital product launches and maintenance
• Basic Oracle / SQL skills
• Waterfall & Agile methodologies
• PMBOK / BABOK principles
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) management
• Change control and defect management principles
• System integration (ERP & non-ERP)
• Cloud-based SaaS applications
• FinTech solutions and eCommerce system integration
• Data analysis and reporting (quantitative & qualitative)
• Business reporting and dashboard building
• Microsoft Suite (Intermediate–Advanced)
• POPIA and data protection principles
• UI/UX principles
• Process mapping tools (e.g., Draw.io)
