    Systems Monitoring Analyst

    Systems Monitoring Analyst

    • The Mukuru Application Support Team is growing, and we are extremely excited to announce that a new opportunity has become available for a Systems Monitoring Analyst. This role reports directly to the Application Support Team Lead and will be responsible for keeping a watchful eye on all our key systems’ health and performance.

    Duties and Responsibilities include, but is not limited to:

    • Pro-active systems health monitoring i.e. Actively watching all systems monitoring dashboards and periodically conducting manual system health checks of key features across the Mukuru application landscape
    • Escalate all alerts and system anomalies to the 2nd line support team
    • Provide weekly reports on all alerts and system anomalies detected
    • Continuously watch the game, and over time, provide insights and recommendations of how alerting and systems monitoring can be improved overall
    • Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders across all Mukuru departments to ensure that their system needs are adequately catered for and covered in the daily Infotech system health checks. Make improvement recommendations to the Mukuru DevOps team as necessary, and own the implementation thereof
    • Liaise with the Mukuru Software Development team during software deployments to ensure that any system changes are sufficiently monitored post-deployment. And that any anomalies detected are resolved promptly
    • Adhere to standard operating procedures, quality control and security protocols and processes
    • Contribute towards the company knowledge-base
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and services
    • Stay updated with latest industry developments and trends
    • Assist with 1st line support tasks as needed

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Experience in Systems Health Monitoring with tools similar but not limited to: Grafana, Sysaid, Nagios, SolarWinds et al. – Essential
    • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as an Application/Software Support Engineer/Technician – would be advantageous
    • BSc Computer Science Degree, IT Diploma, MCSE, Comptia Certification or similar – would be advantageous
    • Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) tools and processes – would be advantageous
