Tableau Administrator - Brackenfell at Shoprite Group of Companies

Job Objectives

• Monitor Tableau Server performance, capacity, and utilization, and take proactive action to optimize the system.
• Promote and enforce best practices for Tableau development, including data governance, data quality, performance optimization, and usability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Tableau-related issues, and coordinate with other teams as needed.
• Provide Tableau training and support to end-users, analysts, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain awareness of emerging trends and technologies in Tableau and related fields and make recommendations for improvement and innovation.
• Handle all 1st line technical support issues for customers.
• Respond handle customer inquiries on daily support issues like time-sensitive queries, customers' common challenges and FAQs.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in computer science, information systems, or a related field – (Essential)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field – (Beneficial)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or similar – (beneficial)
• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and IT Support best practices – (beneficial)

Experience

• +2 years of experience in administering Tableau or similar with demonstrated ability to install, configure, and maintain Tableau system– (essential)
• Technical experience in Windows Server, SQL Server, and web application management – (beneficial)
