    Talent Acquisition Lead

    Purpose Of The Job

    The Talent Acquisition Lead will partner with the business to proactively develop sourcing and attraction plans to recruit the top talent needed to support our business strategies. This role consults with internal business partners on talent plans and offers a wide range of recruiting expertise, managing the processes end to end, while also educating the business on our talent acquisition work processes.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Recruitment Lifecycle Management
    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all D-band and above roles, including sourcing, interviewing, assessment and final selection of candidates.
    • Assist HR Specialists with hard-to-fill and excess vacancies at C-band and below roles.
    • Ensure that all recruitment activities are documented and tracked through the Company’s talent acquisition systems.
    • Ensure that offers of employment are made in accordance with company policy and in line with Rewards best practice.
    • Ensure that all recruitment processes are completed in line with company policy.
    • Ensure that a professional and effective recruitment experience is delivered to candidates.
    • Analyse data throughout hiring processes to ensure results comply with company policy and labour legislation.
    • Talent Acquisition Strategic Practice Development
    • Develop best practice standards for all recruitment activities.
    • Educate HR and Line Management on recruitment best practice including interview techniques, policies and procedures, as well as any pertinent regulatory requirements.
    • Develop the necessary metrics and associated reports to track recruitment efficacy.
    • Develop standards for using social media (LinkedIn) for recruitment and employer branding purposes.
    • Drive the employer brand approach with support from internal and external communications agencies.
    • Advise the business on recruitment industry and technology trends.
    • Build and manage networks and talent pools of passive and active candidates that connect with the McCain brand.
    • Develop a pro-active recruitment approach and build a suitable external talent pipeline that can fill positions on short notice.
    • Develop recruitment strategies designed to identify best-in-class candidates.
    • Assist in the implementation of Global and Regional Talent Acquisition programmes.
    • Ensure that suitable talent is recruited with minimal use of agency resources.

    Experience Requirements

    • At least 6 years’ recruitment experience with exposure to Management and Executive level roles in the FMCG industry.
    • 2 years’ experience in advising the business on the strategic direction of recruitment initiatives.
    • In-house recruitment experience in a multi-national company will be advantageous.
    • Experience in the development of recruitment strategies and establishment of best practice.
    • Experience in developing recruitment policies and procedures.
    • Experience in developing recruitment metrics and reporting on recruitment performance.
    • Experience recruiting using social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
    • Experience using SuccessFactors Recruiting will be advantageous.

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Relevant Business / Human Resources Qualification at NQF level 7

    • Knowledge and Skills
    • Working knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, the Labour Relations Act and Employment Equity legislation.
    • Knowledge of recruitment best practice.
    • Skilled at competency-based interview techniques.
    • Highly developed passive recruiting skills, i.e., referral generation, utilizing internet searches, social and professional networking groups, and the development of existing candidate relationships to build pipelines of executive level talent.
    • Strong project management skills: Capable of owning, developing and executing upon thoughtful project/recruiting strategies and then methodically working those projects to a successful completion and implementation.
