The role involves the day-to-day administration and coordination of the taxation function for the Group. The successful candidate will have a BCom degree with major in Tax, completed articles and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Minimum Requirements
B Com (with major in tax), BCom Financial Sciences or similar.
BCom Hons (Taxation) is advantageous.
Articles required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax administration or supervision within a reputable accounting firm
SAIPA or similar certification
Thorough understanding of South African tax laws, regulations, and procedures
Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems (e.g. Konsise, Syspro, etc.)
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a client-centric approach

Duties and Responsibilities
Performing adhoc reviews of VAT, income tax, WHT, and other relevant taxes
Handling of SARS enquiries and submission of supporting documents
Preparing and submitting dispute resolutions: Objections and appeals
System maintenance (updating client information)
SARS efiling profile requests and maintenance
Liaising and following up with SARS and resolving queries.
Adherence to SARS deadlines
Complete tax administration function by implementing use of tax software and then managing for broader group outside SA as well.
Collaborate with teams to optimize tax processes and enhance efficiency.
Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and finance function accordingly
Involvement with transfer pricing policy preparation and relevant submissions throughout the group
