Job Description

• A company that provides safety and security services, including stolen vehicle recovery, roadside assistance, and personal safety tools, is seeking a Team Leader: Microsoft SQL to manage a dynamic team of experienced professionals. You will oversee the management of their server software, MS SQL, and cloud infrastructure. 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SQL engineers, focusing on both technical skills and career growth.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance on system reliability, architecture, and automation for SQL databases.
• Manage all support aspects of our SQL infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud servers.
• Ensure high availability and resilience of all critical business databases, including monitoring, failover, and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with development teams, third-party providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service and support.
• Manage security protocols, including access policies, risk assessments, and data encryption procedures.
• Lead the resolution of incidents and problems, perform root cause analysis, and ensure all issues are tracked to closure.
• Oversee capacity planning, software upgrades, and the maintenance of operating systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in IT.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a technical team.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• 5 years of experience as a System and Cloud Administrator, with experience in Microsoft license management.
• Mandatory Microsoft certifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
• ITIL and CobIT knowledge.
