Team Leader Maintenance (Braamfontein) at Alstom

Job Purpose

• To ensure the safety and productivity of all maintenance Technicians, employees staffed on designated shift, as well as ensuring that activities scheduled for completion are safely executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Being a leadership resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice.
• Monthly proposition of improvement ideas.
• Manage daily team activities and team briefings.
• Weekly review meetings with the customer to review all the faults that have been fixed and assign the responsibility of which is deemed not to be Gibela.
• Ensure that the team members are supplied with PPE, including safety glasses, gloves and protective outer clothing.

Minimum Requirements

• B Tech or Advanced Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Industrial and technical background with a minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience, troubleshooting preferably in a similar industry.
• Proven record managing a technical team.
• Must have experience or good understanding of any of the maintenance management information systems i.e. Maximo, SES, SAP, MES.

Special Requirements

• The job involves carrying out technical support and maintenance on 24/7 shift & on-call basis (night, day, weekend).
