Team Leader at Nestle

Position Summary

Main Purpose

• The business currently has a stimulating opportunity for suitable candidates. The successful incumbent will ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing of our products.
• A day in the life of a Team Leader:

The Team Leader will be responsible for the following:

• Control production scheduling and planning by managing production plans and ensuring attainment there off.
• Analyze output/efficiency on a shift basis and take appropriate action.
• Assist with budget and variance control by calculating budget losses and analyzing weekly variance and institute corrective action.
• Ensure that plant is maintained in excellent condition to produce at the highest economical viable efficiencies.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvements by using appropriate systems.
• Ensure compliance with Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS), and Quality Policy
• Ensure hygiene and 5s audit score standards.
• Ensure smooth operation through effective staff management and deployment    
• Identify all training needs for staff and conduct or arrange training as and when required                                          

What will make you successful?

• NQF5 Manufacturing Management or National Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Food Technology with English and Maths.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in food manufacturing environment
• Sound understanding of factory operations.
• Understanding of HR procedures and practices and their application
• Have a commercial and financial understanding.
• Fully computer literate and SAP experience an added advantage
• Willing to work shifts
