Team Leader: Systems and Reconciliations at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• Review daily settlement account reconciliations, ensuring that all uploads of journals are done timeously and correctly, ensuring provisioning is done on a monthly basis as well as the daily settlement of 3rd parties.
• Ensure that exceptions identified on reconciliations are being managed and resolved within the set timelines. 
• The team leader will also be responsible for monthly analytics, liaising with IT department regarding system issues and month end tasks. This position will also assist the Accountant: Systems & Reconciliations with any ad hoc tasks and projects.

Experience

Minimum:

• 2-3 years reconciliation experience
• 2-3  years leadership experience 

Ideal:

• 2 years systems (SQL) experience

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting - Financial Accounting

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant post-graduate qualification in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Finance
