    Team Leader: Trade

    Purpose Statement

    • To lead and oversee the team that processes the transactional activities associated to importing and exporting of goods through documentary collections and Letters of Credit. 

    • To enable Management to authorise and release transactions by guaranteeing that all work in the Trade Department is processed accurately and complies to standards and governing principles.

    Experience

    MINIMUM:

    • 5 years General Banking experience

    • Experience in trade finance / foreign exchange 

    • Balancing and reconciliation

    • People Management exposure of at least 1 year

    IDEAL:

    • Similar to Minimum

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational in Grade 12 National Certificate

    Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Business Analysis

    Knowledge

    MINIMUM:

    • Current Incoterms

    • Relevant knowledge of documentary credits and the UCP600, documentary collections and URC522 as well as clean collections

    • In-depth knowledge on Banking systems

    IDEAL:

    • Similar to Minimum
