Job Description    

• Participate in the planning and execution of production activities in relation to stock availability
• Coordinate transport and ensure compliance with the Road Transport Act and Legislation pertaining to the transport of dangerous chemicals.
• Manage stock returns and quality control investigations for in-house products.
• Manage and co-ordinate stock movements including stocktakes and the reconciliation thereof comprising approval for write-offs, investigations and checking document control.
• Responsible for process review, inventory controls and the management and ordering of consumables required within the warehouse
• Overall management within the warehouse and maintenance
• Arrange Collection, Create Delivery Notes and Invoices for Customers
• Maintain a system for proper control of goods transferred from all warehouses.
• Supervise loading and offloading activities
• Ensure accurate and honest reporting of incidents, near misses and safety hazards

Qualifications & Experience    

• Minimum education Grade 12 with a diploma relating to Warehouse Management and Supervision.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in distribution, production or warehousing as a Warehouse Supervisor.
• Previous experience in stock management systems e.g. Syspro or SAP R3 is required.
• Must have a sound knowledge of the international market.
• Must possess good report writing skills.
• Computer literate MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of .NET advantageous.
• Must be knowledgeable of all Acts, i.e. hazardous chemicals, road transportation, etc.
• Must be competent in basic budgeting and cost control
• Ability to report to the Distributions Services Manager based at another site.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team and be deadline driven.
