Technical Assistance (Fitter) at Nestle

We are currently looking to hire a Technical Assistant for the East and Southern Africa region to join our team in Potchefstroom, North West.

Position Summary

• The Technical Assistant Maintain Noodles packaging equipment to meet production requirements and performance targets through management of resources as the packaging SME.Ensure efficient, safe operation of machinery by ensuring equipment is setup and operated within specified tolerances. Completion of necessary administrative tasks e.g. AMM, SHE. Active involvement in new project proposals and installations, TPM and EM.

A day in the life of...

• Coaching of Operations & Maintenance Staff.
• Demonstrate Pro-activity through identification and prevention of equipment failure.
• Manage installation and maintenance and repair of existing and new equipment.
• Implement solutions to resolve and make improvements related to problems encountered

Manage the resolution of instrumentation, electrical and mechanical faults on Packaging Equipment in a hand on manner.

• Repairs to be carried out promptly (first time right) and efficiently.
• Set and maintain high quality of workmanship.
• Responsible to ensure machine availability to enable production targets to be met.

Provide standby and overtime support as per company requirements.

• 100% Adherence to Loto, permit to work and site policies.
• Ensure any unsafe conditions are made safe immediately.
• Actively involved in TPM activities.
• Management of external Packaging support service interventions

What will make you successful

• Trade Tested with N6 and a minimum of 5 years related supervisory experience, or, Trade Tested with a minimum of 10 years related supervisory experience.
