Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Manager Applications and Electronics and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Monitor all events that occur in the Airport Applications and Electronic Systems environment to allow normal operations and detect and resolve or escalate exception conditions.
• Responsible for the quality of Airport Applications and Electronic Systems Services delivered through Service Providers and specifically when quality issues arise.
• Establish and manage effective mechanisms for capturing and resolving all Airport Applications and Electronic Systems issues and challenges.
• Work closely with other IT functions (e.g. Quality, EA, Security, etc.) to ensure Airport Applications and Electronic Systems are aligned across all business and IT security frameworks.
• Responsible for the installation and configuration activities in the Airport Applications and Electronic Systems domain.
• Develop the event categorisation framework to qualify events and determine remediating actions across all Airport Applications and Electronic Systems
• Manage people development initiatives, succession planning and talent management to meet functional performance standards. 
• Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
• Assist with business and financial planning.
• Manage the implementation of enterprise architecture.
• Ensure changes are implemented in line with the Change Management process.
• Establish and improve IT services.
• Submit reports within required timeframe.
• Develop and submit reports on  airports application & electronic systems performance and availability.
• Execute processes and procedures .
• Adhere and enforce compliance to all policies and  procedures
• Take lead in  high priority incident management.
• Attend to and resolve or ensure resolution  of escalated incidents
• Ensure that there are measure  to prevent  audit findings
• Identify Mitigated and Resolve risks and issues.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

• Bachelor’s degree (3 years - 360 credits) Information Technology and/or Computer Science - Essential
• ITIL Intermediate (2 Modules), Any other Microsoft Technologies Certification or Stack or any other relevant certificates relevant to this role including any other Basic Project Management Certificate.
• 5 Year Management Experience within IT – Essential
• 5 Year Operational Experience within IT - Essential
• Microsoft Development Technologies/Stack or any other relevant Technologies Stack/certifications related to this role.
• Working Knowledge of the Aviation / Transport and/or Airports industries as well as Technology Trends and an appreciation of the dynamics of the public sector
• In-depth technical expertise combined with excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills
• Clear understanding and use best practices methodologies for developing and managing enterprise applications and datasets
